Healthy Choice An Easy Choice

I recently had the opportunity through +Crowdtap to try the product Healthy Choice Baked Taste.  For the past year I have been trying to watch my weight and dieting is just not my thing!  Through trial and error I decided I will just try  to make better choices in my eating habits and I was excited to try the New Healthy Choice Baked Taste.

Which one to choose!

I ran out to the store with my dollar off coupon, thanks to +Crowdtap and Healthy Choice, in hand and ended up buying four different meals.  I purchased the Four Cheese Ziti Marinara, Lasagna, Roasted Chicken and Potatoes, and Fettuccini Alfredo Bake.  The last one was for my husband who is a big fan of Alfredo sauce!  I was  looking forward to trying the Lasagna!

A Healthy Choice Lunch!

I was so excited to try my Lasagna only to realize as I reached into the freezer that my husband took it to work the day before! He said it was delicious and highly recommended it to me to try.....which I will the next time I go to the store! This time I am going to hide it so I can try it myself!  I looked at the other Healthy choice products in my freezer and realized someone had also eaten the Roasted Chicken and Potatoes and after asking around my son confessed to eating it for lunch the day before...teenagers nothing is safe in the freezer!  He told me it was really good and said he would eat it again.... high praise coming from my son!   So my choice was narrowed down for me!  I tried the Four Cheese Ziti Mrinara!

I prepared my lunch as directed and while it was cooking I got out one of my favorite veggies to eat with my meal, Sugar Snap Peas.  I also pulled out my clementine and for dessert a Healthy Choice frozen Greek Yogurt!  A very Healthy lunch!

I have to say that the Four Cheese Ziti Marinara was yummy!  I am always a bit leery when it comes to frozen pasta meals because they tend to be either bland or taste too much like tomato but this really was delicious!  I liked the fact that the Marinara sauce had a bit of spice to it and the noodles were cooked just right not too rubbery or hard but just like I cooked them on the stove.  I also like the cheese that was in the Ziti I could taste it but it did not overpower the meal.  Overall I felt it was a great Healthy Choice for my lunch and I can not wait to try the Lasagna next!

BENJAMIN MOORE AURA® WATERBORNE INTERIOR PAINT REVIEW!

Picasso I am not but when I got the opportunity to try out a gallon of Benjamin Moore Aura paint I jumped at the chance!  I have been wanting to redo my living room from the "lovely" country blue theme and move into the new century and this gave me a great reason!

So Many Color Choices!

Now came the hardest part for me....Picking the color!  I was tired of pale and country blue and I wanted to go with something that was rich in color yet neutral enough to go with what I already had in the room.  After days and days of deliberation I decided to go with the color Carob which is a rich brown color that would look great with my cream colored furniture and eggshell trim.

Paint day arrived and first I had to patch up several holes and some of them were whoppers!  My son had a major accident while carrying a computer desk chair with the wheel deciding to detour though the wall rather then his door.  When all that completed finally to the paint.

I was shocked when I went to the store to use my free coupon to see what the bill would have been if I did not have my coupon thanks to Bzzagent!  I thought this paint has a lot to live up to!

when applying the paint I was shocked that I was not immediately overwhelmed with the normal "paint" chemical smell!  I was also amazed that as I painted that it went on so smoothly and that it covered so evenly I realized I would not need a second coat and it dried in about twenty minutes! Amazing!  My walls became a rich milk chocolate brown that I knew would breath new life into my living room!





Would I recommend this product to a friend? Yes I would I love it!  The only concern I had is the cost. So you have to out weigh the initial cost with the fact that you do not have to purchase a primer and the fact that this product makes painting a breeze!

I need to find great accessories like these!

I Am So Glad It's Glade!

I recently had the opportunity through Bzzagent to tryout the new Glade Expressions! Needless to say I was very excited, I am always looking for creative ways to improve the "natural" scent of my home and Glade is a  product I had always used in the past. I could not wait to try their newest product!

So many choices!

I quickly took my coupons to the store to get my Glade Expressions I stared at the choices and finally decided on the fragrance mist, Cotton & Italian Mandarin and Oil Diffuser, Fiji Apple & Cardamon Spice!


I can not tell you how much my family enjoys both scents!  The Fragrance Mist when sprays brings an instant  scent of Ahhhhh.... As my son would say!  The scent is pleasant and one of my favorites I am of fan of scents that are not too flowery or "perfumey" I love it and I love the subtle "clean" aroma that fills the air when I use this product!  I also love the fact that it is refillable which helps to reduce the cost of my next purchase!

My daughter eagerly opened the Oil Diffuser and put it together and placed it on top of our piano in the living room.  The Fiji Apple & Cardamon scent is amazing!  I love that it is a subtle scent that does not overpower the room!  It is like an afterthought....and I mean that in a good way!  I walk through my living room even two weeks after opening the diffuser and I think..."what is that smell?" I realize that it is the Glade Expressions and it fills the room with a gentle pleasant scent!

 I really would recommend these products to family and friends they are pleasing scents incorporated into tasteful designs that can decorate your home as well provide a delicate aroma!

Brand X With Russell Brand!

 I recently had a viewing party through Crowdtap of  Brand X with Russell Brand a new show on the network FX !  I gathered some of my family and friends over at my daughters new apartment to watch the show.

To help us get in the mood for the show we all walked down the street to the coffee shop to watch open mic night. We watched a not so great comedian, my Daughter played the piano and sang ( wonderful) and my husband actually performed a few magic tricks!  Yes I am married to a magician and have a musician daughter!  Now we were in the mood for some good comedy!

Back at the apartment we ate some great snacks and performed our best Russell Brand impersonations!  Not all of them very good.  My son however has a sense of humor we call "Under the Radar" because he manages to say something very subtle to get us rolling!

We then watched some very funny Russell Brand X clips on the FX website....did I say very funny!  My kids loved the Tim Tebow clip as my son is an avid football fan and does the best Tim Tebow impersonation! (At least in my opinion!)



We are now primed to watch the premier!  When the show started I was a little leery because I was unsure what to expect but as I watched I was pleasantly surprised!  We laughed throughout the show and since my son's name is Joe he immediately sympathized with Joe the man from the audience that Russell Brand picked on throughout the show!  My husband really enjoyed seeing Ryan Hurst on the show because he is a huge fan of Son's of anarchy and I got a kick out of seeing Cletus Hogg!


Over all we all thought the show was humorous and glad that is was rather easy to laugh with!  It was not tooo political or too serious it was a great half hour escape from reality!  My friends and family enjoyed it so much that they all stated they would tell their friends to watch it too!

Progresso....Recipe Starters...So Easy!

I recently got to try Progresso's new Creamy Portabella Mushroom Sauce through Bzzagent!  Let me tell you I was nervous at first because my son and I are not huge mushroom fans so we were a bit skeptical that we would enjoy this meal but we love to try new things!

I decided I would try the Recipe Starter in the crockpot with several chicken breast that I had just purchased.  I am always cooking in the crockpot during the week and so I really wanted to see how well this sauce would work.


I was amazed!  The chicken came out moist and delicious and the sauce great!  My fear of mushrooms was put to rest when I tasted the sauce it was flavorful but the taste was not so overpowering that I could not enjoy my meal.  I made a bed of egg yolk noodles for the chicken and sauce and to tell you how good it was there were no left overs!  My son ended up eating three helping of just the chicken so his initial hesitation turned into ravenous hunger once the first taste test was completed!

Thank Progresso and Bzzagent I am already looking into all the great recipe ideas I have seen online to try the next great Progresso Recipe Starter.  I am thinking Creamy Roasted Garlic Sauce would be great with chicken and rice!

Totally Biased Premier Party!

I recently had a premier party for the new FX show Totally Biased with W. Kamua Bell through Crowdtap!
I gathered some of my family and friends together on August 9th to watch the premier!  To prepare for the party we had some pizza before hand and some goodies to be snacked on during the show!

We waited in anticipation for the show to start but while we waited we played a game  We each wrote down our own personal Bias and put them in a hat and then pulled each one out and had a guess at whose bias was whose.  I never knew my mother had a bias against OOmpa Loompas, I knew there was a reason she did not like the movie.  We had a lot of fun guessing each others biases!

The content was humorous and helped us to get our laugh on!  We were now in the mood for some comedy!

We chuckled throughout the show and really enjoyed the edginess that it had.  We all agreed that when talking about hot button issues comedy is definitely key!  There were certain parts of the show that really had us laughing like the Frisk and eat Fresh bit.  Very funny.  While I can see this show appealing to certain demographics I can also see that it can be used to draw in various ages and people with different points of view together and have a laugh while discussing their favorite topics!



We all agreed that we would really like to see how this show evolves in future episodes!  Comedy is a great way to reach audiences and great television shows get better with each episode!  Looking forward to watching the next show!  Thursdays at 11pm on FX!

Family Night With Kroger!

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to have a Family Fun Night thanks to Kroger and Bzzagent!
I received for FREE a bag of Kroger Brand Cupz Tortilla Chips, Kroger Brand Vitamin Enhanced Water, Truly Awesome Frozen Pizza, and Kroger Brand Frozen Fruit Bars!  What a great start for our Family Night!

I will Start with the Tortilla Cupz they were great and the kids loved them!  They enjoyed them so much that they opened them right away and I had to hid them so we would have some left for the family fun night.  I have to say the only thing I did not like was the packaging I am not sure if it is the lavender bag but if I were at the store they might not have caught my eye. Taste and price though you can't beat them  I ended up having to break out my bag of Kroger Brand Yellow Gold Tortilla chips as a snack while we played a game! lol











The Pizza was great! We bought the Pepperoni self rising crust and let me tell you it rose into a wonderful puffy crust that for the price will definitely give the name brands a run for their money.  I thought the sauce on the pizza was delicious! The Pizza did not last long and I will be going to the store for more in the future!



The Kroger Brand Frozen Fruit Bars were great we had the coconut flavor!  I love the price and they had a delicious fruity flavor!  The first taste was refreshing especially on a hot summer day.   I will be buying these again and again!  My kids are really into eating healthier and I love the fact that are affordable and have a great fruit taste.


The Kroger Enhanced Vitamin Water was also great!  I have bought the name brand of this product for years and I am thrilled to be able to to have an alternative the is reasonable price but still has a great refreshing flavor. It's taste was not too sweet as some flavored water can be and the flavors were not overpowering but added to the enjoyment to the drink!

I invited several of my family and friends to the house and thanks to Verizon I was able to buy some yummy goodies to have at my party  I had some delicious cupcakes, veggies, fruits, chips and cookies that the kids decorated with icing and then quickly ate!  It was a great summer day so the kids were able to play outside while we played with all our devices.

We had several types of devices there including Kindles, iPhones, Androids, and tablets!  Thank You again to Verizon and Crowdtap for providing a $50 gift card to purchase all the apps for the devices!  We had a lot of fun talking about our particular favorite device which of course led to the iPhone vs. Android  I tend to take the middle road "I like both!"  they each have their benefits. I also took the opportunity to show my guests on my laptop the Verizon Insider website which many have never seen.  They really enjoyed all the interesting stories and posts and many of them stated they are going to be following Verizon on Twitter and hope to join in on a Verizon Twitter Party!


The best part and the hardest part of the party came next.....What To Buy!!!!?????
My husband of course wanted to purchase the full version of Angry Birds one of his favorites!  My mother even got the hang of the game by the end of the day!  My favorite I was excited to get was Plants vs. Zombies!  I love playing this game and to have the full version thanks to Verizon and Crowdtap I was beyond thrilled!  My son, his cousin, and his friends of course wanted various game guides to games I have not heard of like Deus Ex and Minecraft and several others.  They were happy.  My sister-in-law was able to get a few games she enjoys as well as a photo app Sketch Me which we had a great time playing with!  My friend who has a passel of children purchased several games for her children to play with, one of which was a Lego app......who does not love Legos?

McCormick's Grill Mates What a Party!!!

Spiced Brandy and Herb Chicken

4th of July Celebration!

I recently was chosen by Crowdtap to host a McCormick's Grill Mates Party and I had my party on the 4th of July and it was fabulous!  Let me start by saying thank you to Crowdtap and McCormick for choosing me and supplying me with so many great goodies!  In my party pack there were so many tasty products that I got to share with my family and friends.  I had about 17 people at my party and the kids had a lot of fun playing some water balloon games outside in the 100 degree temps but when it got to hot they went in and played the family favorite a "Friendly" game of Uno!

Montreal Steak kabobs and Molasses Bacon Burgers!

On our menu we had ribs with the Memphis Pit BBQ Rub, chicken breasts with Spiced Brandy and Herb Marinade, pork chops with the Molasses Bacon Seasoning, Hamburgers with the Molasses Bacon Seasoning, steak shish kabobs and one veggie burger with the Montreal Steak Seasoning. We also had the Brown Sugar Bourbon BBQ Sauce on the side for those who needed more sauce for their ribs or chicken.

Cherry Goop and Chocolate Eclair!

Side dishes we had my mom's homemade potato salad..YUM! Coleslaw from our favorite little restaurant who is famous for their coleslaw, veggies, fruits, chips and dips. For dessert the family famous Cherry Goop that I rarely get to eat because it is always gone by the time I am ready for dessert! We also had a Chocolate Eclair pudding dish that was also yummy. Let us just say no one went home hungry!

So how did people react to the wonderful McCormick's Grill Mate flavors?  Let me just say the ribs were gone!  They loved the Memphis Pit BBQ and for those who love a bit of sweet in their BBQ sauce absolutely loved the Brown Sugar Bourbon BBQ sauce, including me I love a bit of sweet over a sauce that is too smokey!  The Steak Kabobs with the Montreal Steak Seasoning went as well everyone commented that the seasoning helped to enhance the flavors of the steak and veggies without overwhelming it!  My husband went around and ate the rest of my son's kabob who ate the steak but left the veggies! LOL!

The chicken breast with the Spiced Brandy and Herb was great even my father enjoyed his and he has a picky palette that does not enjoy things that are too spicy loved the chicken!  As for the pork chops with the Molasses Bacon Seasoning my mother really enjoyed those because she is just loves her pork chops and she enjoyed the different flavoring the Bacon Molasses gave to the pork chop...I think she had two!  The hamburgers with the Molasses Bacon Seasoning were a big hit with the kids as well has my husband who, when the steak kabobs were gone had himself a Molasses Bacon Burger!  I was amazed when my son told me " I love these hamburgers, I want another one!"  He is a super picky eater and will not eat bacon so I was really surprised that he at two hamburgers!  My daughter enjoyed her veggie burger with the Montreal Steak Seasoning telling me "It almost taste like meat!" LOL!  Overall everyone loved the food especially trying all the wonderful flavors supplied through Crowdtap by McCormick's I know I would not have bought some of those seasonings originally but thanks to this party I will be experimenting more with what McCormick's has to offer and I know my family will too.
